Great food, fun server, well sized cocktails. Half priced glasses of wine on Wednesdays. I would happily go there again.

Outdoor patio is really nice to sit at. The food is delicious service is awesome.

We have been going to HT Grill for many years and it was always pretty good. The past few times (this review is not about just one visit) it was a little bit disappointing. We ordered French fries for our 2 year old toddler right at the moment when we ordered our drinks and had to wait for 30 mins. We asked twice and did not get a clear answer - except that "the kitchen is pretty busy" but the local was half full only. The regular food came about 45 mins later - pretty long wait! Anyway it was a bit of disappointing given the very positive visits we had in the past. I hope they will get better and if they maybe had a change in management or chef change it will get to the same quality and service we were used to get. We will give it another try sometime down the road.

Always tasty drinks(semi-strong if it's mixed), delicious appetizers and entrees, and the outdoor patio never fails in perfect ambiance. Even when it's busy and the servers are swamped, it's always an enjoyable time and the wait is never hellish. I recommend the Margherita Flatbread, the Spinach Artichoke Dip, and the Lobster! Happy hour is 3-7, with $7 apps, and discounted drinks! They've added a large awning and more lamp heaters outside to accommodate any weather.

Nice wonderful experience. The surf and turf was executed well and cooked correctly. The staff was courteous and helpful. The short rib poutine was a delicious appetizer. Nice outdoor patio to sit and enjoy the beautiful south bay weather.

As an East coaster, I take great amusement that they lit the fire pit when it reached a frigid 70 degrees out in Redondo Beach. However, the ambiance was nice, I admit, and the rum punch was delicious. Coco (the dog) was also pleased and gives it 5/5 bones, even though they ignored her entreating gaze asking for steak.

Fun and relaxing, waiters are so great and smiling at all times. Amazing location a few mins walk from the beach.

The cioppino tasted like it was warmed out of the freezer. I don't appreciate the server telling me it's delicious when it's not. There was supposed to be crab in it according to the description but there wasn't an ounce of crab in it. The measly salmon pieces weren't worth mentioning either. The 3 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of bread were the only saving grace if the dish.

We were with a group of about 40 people in a special room. The servers rocked it! I couldn't believe how well it went with that many people. The asparagus was even done perfect! How do you do that with that many people? The food was spectacular. We had a few drinks at the bar and they were great for happy hour drinks. Fabulous service, great food and a great vibe. I am celiac and they were able to accommodate the menu for the people who couldn't have gluten.

Delicious 2 for 1 Hamburger Tuesdays did not disappoint! I tried the vegetarian burger on a bed of lettuce instead of bun and my partner had a 4 burger flight! Both of us were delighted with our lunch!

We had an excellent meal leading into our new year's vacation. Both the chili and the pork chops were wonderful only exceeded by the service of James.

Great atmosphere and really friendly and attentive staff. Food was really good and nice selection of drinks. Plenty of patio heaters outside, so even on a gloomy evening it's quite comfortable.

This restaurant is superb and roomy, the menu was delicious and the prices were very economical. quickly, effective service and very welcoming staff. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Really nice outdoor dining. Prices were fair enough and the quality was great. Also Wendy did a great job. Will return. 1 star off for the chowder being too salty. But I'm sure it's usually great, because it's clearly homemade.

If you are looking for the best place to eat in the village then look no further. The food is fresh and delicious, service fast and friendly and atmosphere comfortable. Great energy sets the tone for a wonderful Dining experience. Late night music and friendly bartenders will keep you there.

Excellent food and service! I had the lobster tacos and they were Excellent! The dish comes with 3 “street taco”’ sized tacos. It was a great serving size, since I wasn’t super hungry! The iced tea is excellent as well!!!

Love the staff, great food. It’s a downtown Redondo Beach / Riviera Village classic. Really good Seasonal Menu right now (Winter 2019-2020 - see pic). It’s a nice, casual local kind of crowd. They have a great brunch. Seating at the fire pit is wonderful!

Food and the wine were very good. Had the Salmon dish and it was accompanied with Asparagus and mashed potatoes . Enjoyed the chowder and Bruschetta. Staff was helpful and friendly. Large bar area. Sports on large screen TVs. Parking is a challenge in the area. Nice restaurant and bar.

Lovely restaurant and ambiance!

Reserved the wine room for a private party of 20 people for a graduation party (about a week in advance). Food was good! I ordered the macadamia scallops but I also had a taste of the surf and turf and espresso braised short ribs. All were delicious and was a decent price! The risotto was little too undercooked and slightly too salty for my taste, but other than that it was good with my scallops! Plenty of wine options as well as other liquor. We also brought in our own cake and the servers cut and served it for us. Perfect service. Thank you H.T. grill for an excellent experience.

Great food and service. I recommend the pot roast and surf n turf. There is a great happy hour menu, too. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Just wish they allowed dogs on the patio like the other restaurants in the area.

Nice American restaurant. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality is great and the attention is great.

We frequent this restaurant often, and had done so for past Mother's Days! We felt that what HT did for this Mother's day was inappropriate and unfair. When making reservation we were not told that this was to be a BUFFET ONLY! WHY NOT TELL US? The two mothers at our table were on restrictive diets and couldn't use the buffet. We asked for something from the regular menu or help at their kitchen with smaller portions to accommodate. We were told NO! – and stuck with a buffet that we couldn't use – the two most important people at our table! What a rip off!! Hope losing eight regulars and friends was worth chasing a buck and a lousy buffet!

HT Grill (the old Velvet Turtle from years ago) is always a good go-to for drinks, or a meal (or both!) and listening to live music down in the Hollywood Riviera, Redondo Beach area. Crowd generally tends to be above the 30-something age group. Is well located and within easy walking from numerous other restaurants, bars & shops.

Took my Nanny Kat here for her Birthday and she really loved it.She enjoyed the Steak,Mashed potatoes and veggies and actually Drank a Margarita.Lol 🤣Great atmosphere and the waiter was so cool aswell...OH and Thanks for the good seating considering Nanny was in a wheelchair...H.T. Grill helped the night turn out absolutely Wonderful😎

Good food, but not great service when we were sitting outside. Drink refills were few and far between. Requests for water or refills took a long time and we had to ask multiple times. And the restaurant wasn't busy. Parking might have been easy becsuse they have their own lot, but the lot was almost full around 3pm, when the restaurant was not. Still likely to go again.
